Bartering
Since the ‘experts’ have finally agreed that we have been in a recession for several months, all kinds of tips and ideas have been printed, talked about, publicized, and shared about how to get by, spend wisely, afford what you need, and anything else you can think of. So if this one hasn’t crossed your mind yet, take a few minutes and think about bartering.
Briefly, bartering is a type of trade in which one type of goods or services are directly exchanged for other goods or services without money. This can be used in a personal setting, corporate or business setting. And, in larger cases, there are tax implications that should be considered.
Spend a couple of hours on the Internet and Google ‘bartering.’ Hundreds of pages come up. And suddenly you’ve got a lot of ideas that could help you out if you are having trouble making ends meet. Think about what you can do well, and what you need. Chances are there is a need for your talent.
Difficult times call for creative measures.
